Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2026

Supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), and organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), the Innovation and Technology Scholarship (創新科技獎學金) aims to nurture more young talents to pursue I&T as their lifelong career.

Award
The Scholarship recognizes outstanding non-final year local undergraduates by providing a scholarship of up to HKD150,000 along with a series of elite training opportunities to widen their international/Mainland exposure and gain industry experience. Awardees will be supported to attach to one or more overseas/Mainland universities/institutions between 1 June 2026 and 31 July 2027. At least one of the awardee’s trips must be longer than three weeks and at least one trip should be arranged to the Mainland.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The Scholarship is open to local full-time non-final-year undergraduates with the right of abode in Hong Kong, who have a passion for and intention to pursue a career in innovation and technology, and have innovative ideas that are aligned with any of the Scholarship’s “InnoTech Areas” as set out below:

  • Advanced Manufacturing and Advanced Engineering
  • Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
  • Business and Financial Technology
  • Life and Health Technology
  • Sustainability and Green Technology
  • Multidisciplinary Technology and Others.
