  1. Students must submit the application before using the room.
  2. The permission to use venue is not transferable.
  3. External individuals/parties are not allowed to apply for room booking and use the venue.
  4. The opening hour of the venue is from 09:00 to 21:00.
  5. All facilities in the room, including tables, chairs and other items, must be used carefully and put back to the original place after use.
  6. The facilities are not allowed to be taken out of the room.
  7. To use the venue, student card of the applicant should be provided to the venue management staff at the lobby of Research Complex. After using the venue, students should notify the staff to lock the door.
  8. The user is responsible for keeping the venue clean and take good care of the facilities in the room. The volume shall maintain a reasonable standard inside the room.
  9. No eating or drinking is allowed within the venue.

Recreational Facilities

The recreational facilities are located in Main Academic Building, Residential and Amenities Complex and Research Complex. Unless for P.E lessons and sports team training, students who would like to use the recreational facilities, please request a ticket at the Facilities Management Office (RHB308, Research Complex) in advance. Facilities and pricing details are shown below:

Band Room – List of Instruments and Equipment

  1. The sports facilities are exclusively for the use of Hong Kong Shue Yan University students, staff, and approved lessees.
  2. All users must leave the sports facilities promptly at the end of their booked session(s) and is not permitted to access it without booking.
  3. Activities organized by the university, sports classes, and team training may have priority use of the venue.
  4. The University reserves the right to close the sports facilities without prior notice for class teaching, cleaning, renovation, maintenance or other designated purposes.
  5. Unauthorized activities are prohibited in the room, e.g., commercial activities.
  6. The booked facilities will only be used for the designated function of the facilities, unless with prior approval of the University. If any applicant wishes to use the facility for any other activity, the applicant should seek advice and agreement from the University before making the booking. The University may not permit such other use on the spot by the hirer if without prior agreement.
  7. All users must wear appropriate sportswear and non‐marking sports shoes in the room to prevent any damage to the floor.
  8. You are advised to align the amount of exercise according to one’s physical abilities. If necessary, please consult professionals on your exercise plan.
  9. All users should be responsible for their own personal safety and belongings. The University disclaims any consequences caused by negligence or misuse of the equipment by users.
  10. For public safety, if there is any damage or issues with the facilities, users must immediately refrain using them and notify the Facilities Management Office (FMO) or its authorized, e.g., Security.
  11. Users should be held responsible for any intentional damage to the sports equipment.
  12. Benches or equipment are only allowed to be moved with prior approval from FMO.
  13. Equipment must be returned before leaving the facilities.
  14. Smoking, alcohol drinking, eating, spitting and littering are prohibited in the sports facilities.
  15. No photo-taking, video or audio recording is allowed in the sports facilities without prior approval from the University.
  16. Radios and other sound devices (except headphone/earphone) should not be used in the sports facilities to prevent disturbance caused to other users.
  17. All users should be aware of their personal behaviors and minimize any disturbance to others. FMO or their authorized representatives (i.e., security guards) have the right to ask any person who violates the regulations to leave or to deny their entry to the sports facilities.
  18. Recreation and sports facilities will be closed on the issue of tropical cyclone signal No. 8. If a confirmed booking has to be cancelled by the University owing to inclement weather, the hirer may apply for reallocation. If there are no suitable session(s), the hirer may apply for refund of hire charge for the unused session(s).
  19. All users are required to comply with the “Regulations for the Use of Sports Facilities”. The University reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations without prior notice.
  1. The Fitness Room normally opens from 8:00am to 10:00pm on Mondays to Sundays.
  2. Facilities are limited for use to students and staff of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University who have registered as eligible user of the Fitness Room.
  3. The University reserves the right to close the Fitness Room without prior notice for class teaching, cleaning, renovation, maintenance or other designated purposes.
  4. All users are required to present their student I.D. card or Staff I.D. card to register at the security counter, G/F of Residential & Amenities Complex or Research Complex for access key card.
    *Access key card should be returned to the security counter after exercise.
  5. Access key card is not transferable and should only be used by the designated user. Non-designated user is not allowed to enter the room.
  6. Unauthorized activities are prohibited in the room, e.g., commercial activities.
