SYU Cup Table Tennis Competition

SYU Cup Table Tennis Competition will be scheduled on 3 & 5 November 2021. It is a good opportunity to learn from each other and improve individual skills through the competition. It can also develop friendship and enrich University life.

Date: 3 November 2021 (Wed) & 5 November 2021 (Fri)
Time: 17:00 – 21:00
Venue: HLG2 Indoor Sports Courts, Residential & Amenities Complex
Event: (1) Men’s Singles  (2) Women’s Singles  (3) Doubles (could be Mixed Doubles)
Quota: 16 entries for each event
Eligibility: SYU students and staff members
Enrollment deadline: 25 October 2021(Mon), 17:00
Remark: This activity has been approved for the application of the reward scheme under Exercise for Wellbeing 2021-22

Sports-for-All (Oct Schedule)

 

“Sport-for All” exercise is rolling out!!! Sports courts are FREE of charge to all students and staff members during 12:00 – 2:00pm on every Tuesday and Thursday).

In this coming academic year, the P.E. Section will offer a variety of sports and game activities to build up a sports culture in HKSYU as well as to promote healthy lifestyle. We are planning to arrange basketball, table tennis, badminton, touch tennis and a few new sports to all students and staff members.

A monthly activity schedule will be issued every month. Please find attached for the September arrangement for your information.

Let’s stretch up and have fun together in your trainer shoes!!

Jump To Shue Yan

The rope skipping activity ” Jump to Shue Yan ” organized by the P.E. Section will be held on 30 September 2021 (Thursday).

We are glad to invite a few former Hong Kong Rope Skipping Team members to have a rope skipping performance on campus. There will be sharing and interactive activities in the session.

Dragon Boat Fun Day

Date: Sesson 1: (9/10/2021 10:00–12:00)  /  Session 2 : (16/10/2021 14:00-16:00)
***Participant may choose ONE session only
Venue: HKCDBA Training Centre, Section 51E On King Street, Shek Mun, Shatin, N.T.
Number of people: 20 people for each session (minimum 8 people) *First-come-first-served basis
Coach: Qualified coaches appointed by the HKCDBA
Fee: HK$50 (non-refundable)

Fitness Room Using Workshop

The Fitness Room Using Workshop organized by P.E. Section enables you to learn how to use fitness equipment safely and correctly. By understanding the basic fitness concepts, you will be able to exercise properly and effectively. Applicants who completed the Workshop are eligible to use the University’s Fitness Room and to participate in future fitness-related workshops.

Fee: HK$150 for students, HK$300 for staff members including course fee and gym pass for the first semester of 2021-2022

Long Distance Running Training Course

Date: 29/9, 6/10, 13/10 , 20/10 2021 (4 lessons)
Time: 18:30 – 20:00 (1.5hr)
Venue: Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground
Number of participants: 20 people (minimum 8 people)
Coach: Leung Ka Hung – Sports Coach (Athletics and Physical Fitness)
Fee: Free of charge
