Class arrangements at the start of 2021/22 academic year

Owing to the Government’s latest quarantine and testing requirements for those coming to Hong Kong from Mainland, Macau and Taiwan, the University has adjusted the class arrangements for the start of 2021/22 academic year as below:
  1. In the first two weeks of the academic year (01-14 September), dual-mode will be adopted for all classes except those skill- and practice-based training. All classes will be conducted on a face-to-face basis and simultaneously delivered via Zoom online
  2. While adopting the dual-mode, students are required to attend all classes and attendance will be taken in accordance with Regulations Governing Undergraduate Programme, Clause No. 40-44. All students who are able to return to campus must attend the classes in person, and those who are unable to do so must inform the Registry beforehand to attend the classes via Zoom online.
  3. From 15 September 2021 onwards, full-scale face-to-face teaching and learning will be resumed.
In order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for teaching and learning, continue to strictly observe the following anti-virus precautionary measures :
  1. Face masks must be worn in all public areas of the University;
  2. When entering any space on campus, please ensure that your body temperature is checked, and clean your hands with alcohol-based disinfectant;
  3. Maintain appropriate social distancing at all times;
  4. Teachers are required to clean the surface around the console area with alcohol-based disinfectant before and after every class;
  5. In the event of a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection on campus, the concerned areas will be immediately closed off until the completion of disinfection.
  6. If you develop any symptom of infection, please seek medical advice and inform the University as soon as possible.
