For student societies booking venues and facilities, completed applications (online or paper forms) should be submitted to OSA within one month and at least six school days in advance of the booking date. (Application forms can be downloaded from OSA website)

The University provides comfortable and tranquil common areas in Research Complex and 35th Anniversary Plaza, which consist of basic furniture, microwave ovens, vending machines etc. The area offers a cozy space for students to conduct group discussions, assignment preparation, lunch gatherings or taking a break from studies. Regulations
- All activity rooms are for academic use only (except RLG501 dance room). For other usage, please contact OSA on 2806-7316 in advance.
- Groups with not more than 10 students/ staff can apply for using the Activity Room, while groups of not more than 4 can apply for RLG501 dance room.
- Each user shall be permitted to book a maximum of 6 hours of the activity rooms per week.
- External individuals/parties are not allowed to apply for room booking or enter the venue.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the room.
- Users are responsible for any damages of the facilities in the room.
- The University is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items left unattended in the room.
- User must carry a valid student/ saff card while using the facilities. Staff may request proof of identity from any person inside the facilities during the regular inspection.
- The applicant is responsible for keeping the venue clean and take good care of the facilities in the room. The volume shall maintain a reasonable standard inside the room.
- During the use of the venue, all users must wear a mask, avoid physical contact, and maintain appropriate social distance.
- Staff may remove any person from the activity rooms if he/she is in breach of the regulation. In such event, the booking will be cancelled automatically.
The recreational facilities are located in Academic Building, Residential and Amenities Complex and Research Complex. Unless for PE lessons and sports team training, recreational facilities in Academic Building can be used on first-come-first-served basis. Students who would like to use the recreational facilities in Residential and Amenities Complex and Research Complex, please request a ticket at the Facilities Management Office (RHB208) in advance. The university provided student different type of sports and recreational facilities, students can check the availability and pricing details by the online system with their Moodle account.
Student should acquire ticket or book the facilities in Residential and Amenities Complex and Research Complex at Facilities Management Office (RHB208) in advance.
*Pleases read the Regulation of Use before booking*
1. The ticket is not transferable. The hirer must produce the valid ticket together with his/her student id for verification and registration at the reception of Residents and Amenities Complex or Research Complex before using the facilities.
2. Each Student can only book recreational facilities for 2 hours a day.
3. The booked facilities will only be used for the designated function of the facilities, unless with prior approval of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA). Applicant who wishes to use the facility for any other activity, should submit the proposal to seek advice and get the approval from OSA before booking. All other activities without OSA approval will be prohibited.
4. Users should be dressed in appropriate sportswear.
5. Smoking, eating and drinking (except water) is not allowed inside the facilities.
6. Recreation and sports facilities will be closed when black rain storm warning / typhoon signal no. 8 or above is hoisted. The hirer may apply refund of hire charge for the unused session(s).
7. The hirer shall be responsible to meet the cost of repairing any damage caused to the facility, and of repairing or replacing any property damaged, stolen or removed during the use of the facility.
8. All injuries to participants or any other party, as well as damage to the facility, must be reported to the management staff immediately.
9. The Facilities Management Office may refuse any person from using the facility or remove any person from the facility if he/she is in breach of the Regulation of Use or other regulations in force. In such event, the booking will be cancelled automatically and the paid fees forfeited.
